Leep Program
A leep program is often performed after a colposcopy exam of the cervix.
When a patient has had a Pap smear, colposcopy examination and biopsy, and all these tests show dysplasia, this procedure is applied. A special wire loop is used during the procedure. This procedure removes abnormal cells from the surface of the cervix.

Leep Program -
Colposcopy, Cervix
Although abnormal cells or warts can return, the statistics claims about 90 percent of women are cured after the procedure. Complications are quite rare; some bleeding may occur up to one week following. A second one is rarely required. There is normally only one procedure performed, normally in the clinic. A leep program is often performed after a colposcopy exam of the cervix.
