Cryosurgery and cryotherapy are used to treat HPV. The cervix should then heal with new and healthy cells in about 2-4 weeks after the procedure. This treatment is performed by a gynecologist right in the doctor’s office and has few risks involved with it. Sometime it is also used to treat inflammation of the cervix and cervicitis.
