Conization Of Cervix
Conization of the cervix can be performed with cryosurgery or a LEEP procedure.
The procedure is performed with a scalpel (cold-knife,) laser, or electrosurgical loop (LEEP or LLETZ.) LEEP procedure is known for rapidity, preservation of the margins, and virtual bloodlessness. It doesn’t require general anesthesia and the patient may go home right after it. But the benefits of using laser may not justify its high cost.
Conization of the cervix can be performed with cryosurgery or a LEEP procedure.

Conization Of Cervix -
Cryosurgery, LEEP Procedure
The term is referred to excision of a cone-shaped wedge from the uteri that includes the transformation zone and all or a portion of the endocervical canal. The procedure is used after a Pap smear test is performed to make the final diagnosis of squamous or glandular intraepithelial lesions. The procedure is also used for excluding microinvasive carcinomas, and for treatment of CIN. Conization of the cervix can be performed with cryosurgery or a LEEP procedure.
