Cervix Stenosis
Cervix stenosis can result from surgical procedures such as colposcopy and cone biopsy, or cryosurgery procedure.
Scar tissue can also cause poor mucus production and decreased sperm transport. Causes of this condition, other than surgery, could be from cervical trauma, after menopause from atrophy, or from repeated vaginal infections. Catching any cervical changes early on with regular pap smears could prevent this condition.

Both laser cone biopsy and cryotherapy used to remove abnormal cells from the cervix increase the risk of developing this condition because of an abnormal healing response. A complication that arises from this condition is the scar tissue does not stretch and dilate.
