Cervix Displasia

For disorders of the cervix, displasia (dysplasia) may lead to complications in pregnant mothers such as miscarriage or HPV transmission to child. Several strains of HPV are linked to cervical cancer. Because of this risk, routine pap smears should be done every 12 months to detect the infection. Most mild abnormalities, known as ASCUS, may return to normal if left untreated. HSIL has a much higher rate of developing into cancer. For disorders of the cervix, displasia (dysplasia) may lead to complications in pregnant mothers such as miscarriage or HPV transmission to child.

Miscarriage, HPV

Cervical dysplasia is the development of abnormal cells on cervical tissue. The cell changes are classified as mild, moderate, or severe. These changes are detected with a Pap smear test. If left untreated, dysplasia sometimes can potentially turn into an early form of cancer and eventually invasive cervical cancer. For disorders of the cervix, displasia (dysplasia) may lead to complications in pregnant mothers such as miscarriage or HPV transmission to child.
