Cervix Dialation
Abnormal cervix dialation can result from scarred tissue from treatment of a genital wart or other HPV infections such as dysplasia.
The procedure can be performed in the office with or without anesthesia. After it complications are possible: bleeding or (in rare cases) perforation of the uterus. In general it is a very safe procedure and has been performed for many years.

Cervix Dialation -
Genital Wart, HPV
"D&C" is conducted if a Pap smear test doesn't clearly indicate whether abnormalities are caused by problem in the cervix or in the endometrium. During the procedure the physitian enlarges the cervix and scrapes the inside of the uterus to remove tissue for analysis. Abnormal cervix dialation can result from scarred tissue from treatment of a genital wart or other HPV infections such as dysplasia.
