Cervix Anatomy
Cervix anatomy is such that early detection of a disease with a Pap smear can predispose early intervention of HPV oncogenic (cancer) progression.
This organ is prone to various diseases: cancer, polyps, inflammation, erosion, intraepithelial neoplasia, dysplasia, and pregnancy. Every woman is recommended to pass through the PAP smear test annually to detect them. Besides, certain emotional factors and unexpressed complaints are often associated with chronic urinary, vaginal, vulvar, or cervical problems, including cervical cancer.

Cervix Anatomy -
Pap Smear, HPV
The cone shaped neck of the uterus and its opening (called also a cervical os) form the entryway into the uterus and inner pelvic organs. This neck is about one inch long, and is penetrated by the canal, which permits the menstrual period to pass from the uterus into the vagina, and sperm to pass into the uterus. Cervix anatomy is such that early detection of a disease with a Pap smear can predispose early intervention of HPV oncogenic (cancer) progression.
